With Unity, an industry-grade design software, aspiring game designers will learn level editing, 3D modeling, impactful gameplay creation, as well as how to utilize scripts and variables. Student-created games will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

This program readies the next generation of AI engineers as they work with customized machine learning models for a variety of scenarios. Students will also gain experience in blockbased coding skills while building interactive projects and games. From simulating self-driving racecars to teaching robots how to play video games, push the boundaries of what is possible with the help of A.I. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

In this workshop, students in grades 3 through 4 will learn basic techniques for creating imaginative and whimsical pottery by hand. Children will explore how to find inspiration from their environment using sketches, magazines, and feedback from classmates. They will learn several hand-building methods including slab, coil, and pinch pot techniques, and how to combine them to create unique pottery pieces such as decorative coasters, pencil holders, mugs, and bowls.

Explore movement from across the African diaspora while blending traditional rhythms with modern hip-hop. Students build coordination, cultural awareness, and self-expression through energetic choreography and storytelling.
