Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own jewelry? The first class teaches chain making and the beginnings of wire wrapping. Join Jody McQuillan and choose to make any (or all) of the following: a crimped beaded necklace, bracelet and earrings. Students will create at least one piece per class. Design, tools and techniques will be covered. Some materials will be provided and others may be purchased in class. Required: blue-handled crimp bead pliers (which can be purchased at Hobby Lobby). Class two is designed to advance and continue review of bead crimping and explore special projects.  Resin pendants and or wire wrapping are options. We will be working with wire to make a ring, 2 wire-wrapped pendants (one with and one without a hole), making a chain and pouring a few resin designs to be made into pendants. ADULT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID – SPANISH 

Mental Health First Aid is an international program proven to be effective. Peer-reviewed studies published in Australia, where the program originated, show that individuals trained in the program: • Grow their knowledge of signs, symptoms and risk factors of mental illnesses and addictions. • Can identify multiple types of professional and self-help resources for individuals with a mental illness or addiction. • Increase their confidence in and likelihood to help an individual in distress. • Show increased mental wellness themselves. Studies also show that the program reduces the social distance created by negative attitudes and perceptions of individuals with mental illnesses.

Advanced Genealogy Techniques

Have you worked on your family tree but hit a brick wall? Have you heard that land deeds, tax records, and other sources can be used in genealogy but don't know how to use them? This course will help you identify techniques and strategies for getting around those roadblocks in your family tree.

All Things Google

This Google Apps class gives you the skills to use Google applications effectively. You’ll explore tools like Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms, learning to create, edit and collaborate in real time. You’ll also manage files with Google Drive, schedule with Google Calendar, communicate with Gmail and organize and edit pictures using Google Photos. All are invited to attend, whether you have little experience or possess culinary skills. The class will focus on the starter, the consistency of the dough, baking techniques, kneading skills and how a loaf should look and feel. Each student will take home starter and bread dough to bake. The class is limited to 10 students.

Basic Dog Obedience
Train your dog to walk on a leash, sit down, come and stay on command. This 10-week course will build skills each week, including socializing with people and other dogs. Dogs must be at least six months old. Participants must bring a choke chain.
