Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own jewelry? The first class teaches chain making and the beginnings of wire wrapping. Join Jody McQuillan and choose to make any (or all) of the following: a crimped beaded necklace, bracelet and earrings. Students will create at least one piece per class. Design, tools and techniques will be covered. Some materials will be provided and others may be purchased in class. Required: blue-handled crimp bead pliers (which can be purchased at Hobby Lobby). Class two is designed to advance and continue review of bead crimping and explore special projects.  Resin pendants and or wire wrapping are options. We will be working with wire to make a ring, 2 wire-wrapped pendants (one with and one without a hole), making a chain and pouring a few resin designs to be made into pendants. Wednesdays, April 8, 15 and 22.

Adobe Photoshop

What does the term “Photoshopping" really mean? Join instructor Duane Hartman in this beginner-friendly Adobe Photoshop CC class. Start with the basics of digital images and file types, then explore the Photoshop interface, tools and canvas customization. Learn to use layers, brushes and masking before you master selections and image retouching. ADULT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID – SPANISH 

Mental Health First Aid is an international program proven to be effective. Peer-reviewed studies published in Australia, where the program originated, show that individuals trained in the program: • Grow their knowledge of signs, symptoms and risk factors of mental illnesses and addictions. • Can identify multiple types of professional and self-help resources for individuals with a mental illness or addiction. • Increase their confidence in and likelihood to help an individual in distress. • Show increased mental wellness themselves. Studies also show that the program reduces the social distance created by negative attitudes and perceptions of individuals with mental illnesses.

Advanced Genealogy Techniques

March Terrarium Workshop with The Vintageleaf Boutique
