Advanced Beekeeping Grand Island (AVOR-5000)

Advanced Beekeeping

This class will go further into the details of beekeeping. You will begin to work through the educational and experience aspects of beekeeping. Learn to document your hive and discover marketing ideas that will help promote hive-related products. This 10-month class will be a combination of lecture and hands-on activity in the field and will meet the second Tuesday of the month, February through November 2024. Students are responsible for the purchase of their equipment and beekeeping suit. A veil must worn while working the bees.

American Sign Language I (Lessons 5-8)
Learn the basics of the beautiful language of sign in a simple, interactive format. This introduction to American Sign Language (ASL) includes basic grammar, vocabulary, fingerspelling, numbers and other cultural information related to the deaf community.
The curriculum is based on accelerated language acquisition techniques and focuses on the most common concepts and words used in everyday communication. The lessons are designed to help a student reach communicative competence quickly.
