A comprehensive introduction to artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on the emerging field of generative AI. Designed to give a broad foundational understanding of AI and Machine Learning (ML) concepts while diving deeper into the principles, capabilities, and use cases of generative AI, in the context of cloud computing. Core concepts and applications of generative AI, alongside the AWS services and tools that support these technologies in the AWS cloud will be explored. It covers a wide range of generative AI topics, from theoretical foundations to practical applications, in order to understand how AI can create content, solve complex problems, and drive innovation in various industries.

PREREQUISITE:  This is an introductory course on the basics of accounting.  A personal computer with Windows 10 is helpful, but not required for this course.  A computer and computer skills are required for the next classes in this program series.

If you have never had a bookkeeping or accounting course and the words t-account, debit and credit entries, sound like a foreign language, you need to start here to advance in this series.  Understanding the theories and practices behind accounting, which is the process of recording financial transactions and then summarizing, analyzing, and reporting these transactions, is the basis of this class.

PREREQUISITE: Accounting Basics for Non-Accountants, or accounting/bookkeeping knowledge or prior work experience REQUIRED. Students should have a personal computer with Windows 10 AND have strong computer skills.

Apply double entry bookkeeping and then dig deeper into the analysis and recording of financial transactions and financial statements. Get hands-on experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll procedures, sales taxes and common banking activities. Understand the role of the three main accounting statements:  balance sheet, income statement and cash flow. This course is a prerequisite for QuickBooks.

This course is a comprehensive introduction for new AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT software users.  It incorporates the features, commands and techniques for creating, editing, annotating and printing 2D drawings with AutoCAD.  Focused applications for this level include the majority of Draw and Modify tools, Annotation tools for creating text, dimensions and leaders; Creating and Editing Block definitions; Hatching; Page setups with Layouts and titleblocks for plotting, printing and creating PDFs. This course will give the new AutoCAD user a comprehensive foundation to build upon, or update existing AutoCAD users’ skills with the latest release.

Building on the concepts introduced in Level 1, or for the AutoCAD user looking to advance their knowledge of AutoCAD, more advanced features, commands and techniques for production and efficiency will be integrated for creating, editing, annotating and printing drawings. Applications include Dynamic Blocks, Attributes and Fields, External References, Advanced Layer Management tools, Tables, Parametrics and working with the Sheet Set Manager. Also, Program Customization, Aliases, Macros and Tool Palettes, along with an introduction to 3D modeling.

PREREQUISITE: Proficient/intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
Learn how data science is applied in business. Explore concepts in correlation, regression analysis, hypothesis testing and multivariate analysis. Learn how correlation helps to understand portfolio diversification and design. ‘What If’ analysis will be covered utilizing the Solver and Goal Seek features of Excel. Students will need to save their work to their local computer or a flash drive.
