Dental Anesthesia (EYK-705)

This course meets the requirements of the Board of Dentistry and Dental Hygiene and prepares dental hygienists to administer local anesthesia in a dental office setting. Instruction includes anatomy, pharmacology of anesthetic agents, injection techniques, dosage calculations, patient assessment, management of adverse reactions, and emergency procedures. Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the American Board of Dental Examiners Local Anesthesia Exam. To register, please call our department directly at 302-830-5204.
