This program will provide training to prepare students with skills to handle all aspects of the administrative duties in a medical office setting from the front office in-patient intake, scheduling, and non-clinical duties. Classes are taught in person and through online lectures. Upon successful completion of this course, you can sit for the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam. The EMT-Basic Certification Course represents the first response of the emergency medical system. Be prepared to care for patients at the scene of an accident and transport patients by ambulance to the hospital under the direction of more highly trained medical personnel. Learn basic emergency skills to assess a patient’s condition and manage respiratory, cardiac and trauma emergencies. Course combines 100hrs of online training and 80hrs of classroom instruction including hands-on learning. Participants must schedule ambulance ride-along outside of regular class hours. This course is approved by the State of Delaware Office of EMS Services and the National Registry of EMTs. 

 4/7 - 10/2, MTWR, 8:30am - 12:30pm, Hybrid     Financial Assistance Available (WIOA, SEED+) 

This 410-hour course will prepare students to perform the duties required by an outpatient coder, as well as prepare students for the National Certification exam. Students will be introduced to anatomy/ terminology, physiology, pharmacology, ICD, CPT, HCPCS, as well as major nationwide medical insurance programs. Upon successful completion of the course, students will sit for the Certified Coding Specialist Physician based (CCS-P) Examination as well as a one-year student membership to AHIMA.   Prerequisite: Attendance at an information session.
