This 180-hour course provides students with the skills and knowledge to provide basic patient care and support to patients in a clinical setting, as well as support other healthcare professionals in the delivery of clinical care. Patient care technicians are a valuable part of the healthcare team and work under the supervision of an RN or nursing team. Following successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Patient Care Technician certification exam
