The certificate will train you for a career as an administrative professional. Students will learn the fundamentals of workplace administration, including organizational skills, communication, technical writing, and customer service skills. This course also will teach the fundamentals of commonly used office software.

Are you good with details and numbers? This certificate program is designed for people to learn the skills needed to be an entry-level bookkeeper. Learn general ledger entry, preparation, and reconciliation of financial statements. Review common computer programs and be prepared to take the National Bookkeeper exam on the last day of class. Tuition includes the exam fee and textbook.

Join the growing force of Certified Public Bookkeepers (CPB). The CPB designation assures that an individual possesses the level of knowledge and skills needed to carry out all key accounting functions through adjusted trial balance, including payroll. To become a CPB, one must meet three requirements: Pass the national certified bookkeepers’ exam, sign a code of ethics, and submit evidence of at least two years of full-time bookkeeping experience or 3,000 hours of part-time or freelance experience. Our program, in conjunction with the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeeper provides four courses and accompanying certification exams: 

Bookkeeping: 9/8-10/30

Accounting Principles: 11/11-1/29/2026

Payroll: 2/9-3/26/26

QuickBooks: 4/6-5/21/2026

Delaware Tech’s CDL curriculum combines classroom study with practical experience behind the wheel of diesel-powered tractor trailers on a private training range, as well as public streets and highways. You’ll also learn the intricacies of handling a variety of truck types and cargo, conducting required inspections, proper reporting and documentation requirements, and trip-planning techniques – all in a small-class-size environment. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to earn your CDL Class A Driver’s License. Prerequisite: high school Diploma/GED; driver’s license for a minimum of one year, CDL Class A learner's permit, successful completion of the TABE Test and pass a drug screen and a DOT Physical.

The EMT-Basic Certification Course represents the first response of the emergency medical system. Be prepared to care for patients at the scene of an accident and transport patients by ambulance to the hospital under the direction of more highly trained medical personnel. Learn basic emergency skills to assess a patient’s condition and manage respiratory, cardiac and trauma emergencies. Course combines 100hrs of online training and 80hrs of classroom instruction including hands-on learning. Participants must schedule ambulance ride-along outside of regular class hours. This course is approved by the State of Delaware Office of EMS Services and the National Registry of EMTs. 

Financial Assistance Available (WIOA, SEED+)

This course is certified by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Students are trained to perform a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and precautions. Classes are taught through in-person and online lectures, student laboratory, and through clinical experiences. NHA certification exam will be administered at the conclusion of the program. Tuition includes textbook, exam fee, supplies, BLS certification, and criminal background/drug screening. Internship/clinical experience included (hours may vary from course schedule).

Prerequisite: Attendance at an information session.

ONLINE, Wednesday 8/20  6:30 - 8 pm

This is a detailed virtual information session that covers course content and requirements to complete the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic Certification Course.
