Dental assistants greatly increase the efficiency of the dentist in the delivery of quality oral health care and are valuable members of the dental care team. If you have strong communication skills, enjoy working with your hands as well as your mind, and want a career with responsibility, becoming a dental assistant is for you. Classes are taught through in-person and online lecture, student laboratory, and internship experience. Upon successful completion of the DANB Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam, you will achieve the Delaware State Radiology Certification. All textbooks, certification exam, uniforms, and BLS certification included. Internship/ clinical experience included (hours may vary from course schedule).

Financial Assistance Available (WIOA, SEED+)

This course is certified by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Students are trained to perform a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and precautions. Classes are taught through in-person and online lectures, student laboratory, and through clinical experiences. NHA certification exam will be administered at the conclusion of the program. Tuition includes textbook, exam fee, supplies, BLS certification, and criminal background/drug screening. Internship/clinical experience included (hours may vary from course schedule).

Prerequisite: Attendance at an information session.
