Delaware Tech’s CDL curriculum combines classroom study with practical experience behind the wheel of diesel-powered tractor trailers on a private training range, as well as public streets and highways. You’ll also learn the intricacies of handling a variety of truck types and cargo, conducting required inspections, proper reporting and documentation requirements, and trip-planning techniques – all in a small-class-size environment. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to earn your CDL Class A Driver’s License. Prerequisites: driver’s license for a minimum of one year, CDL Class A learner's permit, successful completion of the TABE Test and pass a drug screen and a DOT Physical.

Students will build a desktop computer during this course as part of their hardware and software certification training. Thursdays, 3/19 - 4/30 - 6-8pm - In-Person

Are you struggling at work to keep up with the increased variety of virtual skills needed to do your job? Are you looking to get back into the workforce but need to up-skill to become a more qualified candidate? This course will introduce you to several well-known workplace software applications, including Microsoft Suite, email, Adobe, Zoom, and many others. Basic computer skills are a requirement for this class.

04/07 - 04/22, TW. 5:30- 7:30 p.m., In-person

As digital communication continues to dominate how people interact with one another, the foundational elements of providing a good customer experience on the phone, in person, or by email erode. This course is aimed at teaching better customer communication by providing training across strategy, technique, and approach to customer communications. Course instruction is a seminar with active participation required. Students will be challenged to think on their feet, role play, write, and speak on the phone for various exercises and assessments

Class will be held at the Environmental Training Center, Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Join us on the courts for a little friendly competition. A hybrid of tennis and ping-pong, pickleball is a fun, social game that anyone can play. Learn the terminology, rules, and basics of pickleball play from our experienced instructor. Participants should bring their own paddle. See you on the court!
