Delaware Tech’s CDL curriculum combines classroom study with practical experience behind the wheel of diesel-powered tractor trailers on a private training range, as well as public streets and highways. You’ll also learn the intricacies of handling a variety of truck types and cargo, conducting required inspections, proper reporting and documentation requirements, and trip-planning techniques – all in a small-class-size environment. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to earn your CDL Class A Driver’s License. Prerequisite: high school Diploma/GED; driver’s license for a minimum of one year, CDL Class A learner's permit, successful completion of the TABE Test and pass a drug screen and a DOT Physical.
