New program offered at the Seaford Innovation Center!

This course is being held in-person Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Delaware Tech is proud to offer a State of Delaware Registered Apprenticeship in welding! Unlike most apprenticeships, our innovative Welding Apprenticeship Program will provide participants with all of the classroom training during their very first year. Once the classroom training is complete, our newly skilled welders will have the knowledge and experience to start the process of obtaining employment for their remaining on-the-job training and completion of the apprenticeship. This “learning first” apprenticeship model has been successfully implemented in other states and is becoming the preferred training model for many of the technical and skilled trade industries. Textbooks, safety glasses, welding helmets, jackets, and gloves are included.

• Pipe Welding
• Pipe Fitting & Joint Beveling
• Blueprint Reading
Textbooks, safety glasses, welding helmets, jackets, and gloves included. 
NOTE: Long pants and composite or steel-toed shoes are required for all welding classes.
