Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training program is designed for adults who would like to train for a high-demand career in a short-term time frame.  Tuition includes online entry-level driver theory training, entry-level driver behind the wheel training, along with testing with a third-party Iowa DOT certified examiner. You will develop skills in backing, turning and safe driving on both rural and suburban roads. You will receive hands-on training using full-size semi-trailers and virtual driving simulators with 10 speed and automatic options available. 
The course can be completed in four weeks, but students proficient in pre-trip inspection, range and road skills may complete CDL testing prior to the end date.

This two-week training program ensures that you are fully prepared with the knowledge and skills to safely operate a commercial bus or school bus, and you can obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement. You will receive 80 hours of instruction in a classroom, on driving simulators, and by driving a 48 ft school bus on the driving range and on the road. Admission Requirements:
• Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) - fee for the permit is $12 
• Please obtain your CLP 1- 2 weeks (7-14 days) before class begins. 
• Obtain your School Bus Driving Permit by successfully passing the written school bus, pre-trip, passenger, air 
       brakes, and general knowledge tests at the Department of Motor Vehicles

Introduction to non-contact sensors used in industrial automation. Inductive and capacitive proximity sensors. Different types and uses for Photoelectric eyes, and other analog devices used in industrial machine control. Three hours of this class will be dedicated to developing soft skills.

Prepare potential engineering technology students for the mathematics required for success in the field of electronics. Calculator-based mathematics, covers numbering systems, roots, powers, fractions, decimals, percent's, linear equations, factoring, graphing, simultaneous equations, complex numbers, trigonometry, trigonometric identities, logarithms, and Boolean Algebra. All mathematical topics are covered using electronic applications. Three hours of this class will be dedicated to developing soft skills

Provides basic nursing skills to care for patients and residents in a variety of long-term care facilities. IWCC is an approved FMCSA Training Provider.

Saturday, August 16, 2025.  9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This course is designed to educate and certify individuals who will be operating motorized vehicles. The course ensures that operators are knowledgeable about the safe and legal operation of MOPED> 

Students need to bring a sack lunch as they will have a 30 minute lunch break.  Fee: $50.00  Class held at the IWCC center in Harlan, Iowa. Room 102

This class is for those that were arrested for an OWI over the age of 18. Class is designed to help each person reduce risk for any type of alcohol or drug problem by helping them understand and accept the need to make necessary changes to reduce the risk for future problems. The class meets state requirements under sections 321.J.2 and 321.J.17., Subsection 2, and is open to anyone wishing to better understand their problems. Students with limited English proficiency must provide their own interpreter.  Fee $180.00  Room 102 at the IWCC SCC Center in Harlan, IA.
