Advanced motor control configuration using hands-on practices with industry equipment. Wiring ,programming variable frequency drives, remote starting methods, and analog control.

Class meets Tuesdays, January 6th, 2026 - March 17th, 2026.  4 to 7 p.m.  Rayce Salsbury instructor.  IWCC Shelby County Center in Harlan, IA.

Builds on the programmable device control concepts studied in intro to Programmable Logic Controllers. Develop skills in the use of different types of programmable controllers and input/output devices to accomplish various tasks, with a focus on advanced manufacturing uses. Extensive hands-on activities wherein students will demonstrate wiring, programming, and troubleshooting skills.

This class meets on Monday from 10:00am-6:30pm. The Iowa Driver Improvement (DIP) will examine attitudes and behavior in relation to driving. It will focus on teaching drivers how their behind the wheel attitude affects their driving behavior. Its purpose is to give participants an opportunity to reflect on their driving behavior and make a commitment to positively alter their daily driving experience. Please note, cancellations must follow IWCC Policy. If not followed, a rescheduling fee will be applied.
