This class is 7 of 7 in "Your Marketing Playbook Series". Equip participants with practical skills to set up affordable, targeted ad campaigns on Google, Facebook, and Instagram.    Current Driver: one who has been a driver for at least one year and met their training
       requirements for prior years
Must take the "Annual STOP Training" every school year
 Annual STOP Training fulfills their training requirement for the year, and does not have to
be taken during the same time every year.

Applied Practices I: Repair and Service provides hands-on practice in servicing and repair of heating and cooling equipment. Students develop a basic understanding of servicing and repair practices as seen in the industry.

Tuesday Oct 6th     9am - 2pm In-Person
This course is the basic course on understanding dealer responsibilities. This class will serve as a refresher course and will teach the requirements of being an auto dealer in Iowa and how to maintain a dealer’s license. Updates on changes to state and federal law, rules and regulations will be provided.  The trainer will discuss new laws enacted during the most recent legislative session impacting auto dealers as well as providing new information from federal and state agencies pertaining to the auto industry.  Dealers will be encouraged to bring forth areas of concern to assist with possible solutions to these concerns. Dealers will review videos from the staff of the Iowa Department of Transportation Bureau of Investigation and Identity Protection and the Consumer Protection Division of the Iowa Attorney General’s office.

There’s nothing quite like a homemade pie, and now you can master the art of baking your own! Join Chef Tasos in the inviting Iowa Western kitchen for a fun, hands-on class. You'll uncover the secrets to crafting beautiful, bakery-quality pies from scratch. 
This class will guide you through the process of making both flaky and mealy pie crusts—ideal for any sweet or savory creation. You’ll learn professional techniques for mixing, rolling, and crimping. Then, you'll fill your pie with a warm, spiced apple filling and bake it to golden perfection.
As our apple pies bake, we'll also prepare and sample other cherished favorites like pecan and pumpkin pie.

Building Construction Techniques introduce students to the methods and materials used in the construction industry. The course covers construction efficiency, as well as the delivery, handling, and installation of building materials. Other construction products, systems, procedures, and tools of the trade are also discussed.

This two-week training program ensures that you are fully prepared with the knowledge and skills to safely operate a commercial bus or school bus, and you can obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement. You will receive 80 hours of instruction in a classroom, on driving simulators, and by driving a 48 ft school bus on the driving range and on the road. Topics covered will include basic operations of the bus, safe operating practices, advanced operating practices, vehicle maintenance, and non-vehicle maintenance.

Iowa Western will need copies of the documents below before the first day of class:
•    Commercial Learner Permit (copy both sides)
•    Medical Examiners Certificate (commonly referred to as a long form)

Co Bluffs Campus     Mon. - Thurs       8am - 3pm (Flexible)          School Sponsored Drivers $1200.00
This two-week training program ensures that you are fully prepared with the knowledge and skills to safely operate a commercial bus or school bus, and you can obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement. You will receive 80 hours of instruction in a classroom, on driving simulators, and by driving a 48 ft school bus on the driving range and on the road. Admission Requirements:
• Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) - fee for the permit is $12 
• Please obtain your CLP 1- 2 weeks (7-14 days) before class begins. 
• Obtain your School Bus Driving Permit by successfully passing the written school bus, pre-trip, passenger, air 
       brakes, and general knowledge tests at the Department of Motor Vehicles
