Driver Education Program Description (14 - 18 years of age)
This program requires a mandatory parent and student orientation held one week prior to the start of class. Attendance at orientation is required to participate in the course. The program includes both online classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel (BTW) training. The instructor will have detailed instructions on accessing the online coursework and scheduling driving sessions at orientation. Students must: Meet all attendance requirements, Pass the written examination, Demonstrate proficiency during practical driving evaluations. Please register using your child’s first and last name; however, enter the parent/guardian’s email address and phone number. Iowa Western can only communicate directly with parents/guardians and is not permitted to communicate with students. After completing the online portion of the course, students have 45 days to complete six (6) behind-the-wheel driving sessions with the instructor.
