This program includes both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. Classroom portions of the class are online through a platform called Safer Driver’s Solution. Andy Nelson is the classroom instructor. There will be 6 driving times. An email will be sent to you the day before the start date of the class, explaining in detail about the online course and how to schedule the driving times. Students must meet attendance requirements, pass a written exam, and demonstrate proficiency during practical driving tests to successfully complete the course. 

Parents, please put your child's first and last name, but enter your personal email address and phone number. IWCC can only communicate to parents. We are not allowed to communicate with your child. After completing the online course students have 45 days to complete 6 drives with the BTW instructor.

10-HOUR OSHA CONSTRUCTION (SPANISH) (TRADE-17)

Location: IWCC Shelby County Center – Harlan. Dates/Times: Friday, Oct. 3, 2–6 PM & Saturday, Oct. 4, 9 AM–4 PM. 
The OSHA 10-Hour Construction course, delivered in Spanish, provides an essential introduction to OSHA standards and hazard awareness in the construction industry. Designed for both workers and employers, the training focuses on recognizing, avoiding, and preventing common job site hazards while highlighting key safety areas such as fall protection, electrical safety, personal protective equipment, scaffolding, and hazard communication. Participants will learn how OSHA standards protect workers, promote safe practices, and reduce injuries and fatalities. By the end of the course, they will be able to identify hazards, apply safe work practices, and contribute to a safer workplace. Participants who complete the course will receive an official OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training card.

BLS Provider Blended Course Online (BLSC-01)

Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on session. Successful blended learning can reach students with varying learning styles and in different environments. It combines the flexibility of online training with skills practice and testing for CPR and other psychomotor skills. 
Once the on-line portion is completed, please contact IWCC Continuing Education to get signed up for your skills.  These skills sessions focus on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. Once skills have been completed then your card will be issued. Please remember to bring your certificate with you when completing the online portion.
