In this class we will learn to make fresh Raviolis. Furthermore, we are bringing you all the flavors of fall in this dish, and believe us, this is a to-die-for Butternut Squash Ravioli with Sage Cream Sauce! It is the perfect fall comfort food.

October 4th, 2024 from 5:30pm-7:30pm 

You will learn the basics of cheese selection, how to fold meat, make a meat rose, salami link and chain. You will learn about the different varieties of cheeses as well as pairings. You will be guided step by step as you create your own board to take home and enjoy. 

Charcuterie Board will be provided and you will be able to take them home. You will be tasting 4-5 different kinds of wine during this class as well. 

What will Christina Roelofs come up with for Breakfast Recipes this fall at the very popular Dutch Oven Cooking class? Will it be Quiche, Cinnamon Rolls or a Mountain Man Breakfast Casserole? Join in the fun and find out! Class is held at Nishna Bend Recreation Center; 514 Maple Rd. in Harlan, IA. Learn how to make your favorite chocolate candy at home-nut butter cups, caramel shortbread bars, and chocolate pecan praline. You and your budding chocolatier will practice chocolate tempering, caramel-making, and chocolate dipping. We'll prepare an assortment of layers and fillings-like praline, shortbread, and caramel before assembling everything into delicious homemade versions of these popular candies.

Learning how to ferment can be a fun way to explore your curiosity and experiment with different ingredients and techniques. It can also help you learn about the roles microbes play in the production, preservation, and enhancement of food. In this class you will get an introduction to fermenting vegetables, brewing kombucha at home, and making sauerkraut & Kimchi. This is a hands-on class is for adults and you will get to take home your delicious creations!

Chef Tasos will walk you through the process of making focaccia and Naan Bread; flavorful breads that are easy to make and endlessly versatile. The focaccia is pillowy soft on the inside, and crispy on the outside. You won't be able to stop eating it. Perfectly soft and chewy, this homemade Naan Bread recipe comes together quickly and easily.

We will make gluten free chocolate donuts, adorned with a luscious chocolate glaze. Whether you're a devoted chocolate lover or simply seeking a delectable indulgence, baked gluten free chocolate donuts are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings. Finally we will make Italian Lemon Drop cookies. These Gluten Free Italian Lemon Cookies have a pillowy soft texture that melts in your mouth.
