This course will cover the following: The concepts and fundamentals and best education practice methods to teach atomic structure, grain structure, heat flow, phase transformations, welding metallurgy, and the weldability of ferrous commercial alloys. The basics and principles of major joining and cutting process.
Upon successful completion of this course students will receive an AWS D1.1 structural welding code certifications for carbon steel, Gr A3, and an OSHA-10-hour certification

This program consists of 100 hrs of class/lab instruction and 80 hrs of clinical practice. The clinical practice runs during daytime/weekday hrs. You must be available for at least one week for a local clinical experience. Upon successful completion of this course, you are eligible to sit for the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT) Nat'l Cert Exam, which will be held at RVCC. Exam fee is separate.
You must complete a background check, provide proof of malpractice insurance, and updated health records

This 40-hour course prepares you to function as an ECG Technician in a wide variety of settings including hospitals, physician’s offices, clinics, sport medicine facilities, nursing homes, and insurance companies. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to sit for the ASPT National certification exam. This introductory course demystifies the field of instructional design and its career paths. Participants learn how to build learner personas, write measurable learning objectives, storyboard content, and explore learning management systems and authoring tools. Each student works with a real or simulated project so they can immediately apply core concepts and leave with tangible artifacts for their portfolio or teaching practice.

Hybrid instruction. This course is a pre-requisite to the Alternate Route to Teaching-Community College program at Brookdale Community College. The course includes 30 hours of instruction plus 20 hours of observational and clinical experiences in teaching and learning settings. Students who wish to pursue a CE or a Limited CE must hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (prior to 2016) or 3.0 (after 2016).
