This course introduces the core functions of a production office and the roles within it, emphasizing its central place in managing film production. Students gain exposure to key departments, industry terminology, and the full studio filmmaking process from prep to wrap. Through case students, production documents, and hands-on activities, they learn to organize and prepare daily materials for the crew. By the end of the class, students will be able to:
- Define the roles and responsibilities of the production office and its team.
- Identify the three phases of production and distinguish common tasks associated with each.
