Course Fees Include: Textbooks and (1) attempt of the certification exam.  

Student's Responsibilities - Must be turned in to program manager FIRST week of class: Physical Exam w/Vaccine Records, PPD - Tuberculosis Skin Test, Health Insurance, Current Tetanus Shot, Flu/COVID shot, Titers, Headshot for Hospital/Clinical ID, CPR - Basic Life Support with American Heart Association (BLS). This program is designed to prepare students for the IAHCSMM certifcation exam and an entry-level position of central service technician. Central Service Technicians decontaminate, disinfect, package sterilize and distribute surgical instruments, equipment and devices in hospitals and surgical centers. Our training program will provide you with classroom instruction and a 400-hour clinical externship. You will learn principles of cleaning and processing equipment, methods of sterilization and disinfection, packaging and storage, maintenance of equipment, inventory control, basic surgical instrument identification and more. You will be eligible for certification after completing 400 hours of clinical experience and passing the IAHCSMM certification examination. The following are included in the course fee: Textbook and criminal background check (only one county background check is included in the course fees. If student has resided in multiple counties, additional cost will be at student's expense), drug screening (only one drug screen is included in the course fees).
