Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you couldn't use your voice to communicate? Or how to communicate with someone who is right in front of you but cannot hear your voice? This 4 day camp will introduce the basics of American Sign Language including vocabulary and key phrases associated with everyday routines like breakfast, and bedtime, school and work related items, and signs used for everyday activities like counting and using money. Your student will also learn how subtle changes in hand movement or hand and finger placement change a word's meaning or indicate an adjective, as well as how the placement of nouns and adjectives in common English varies from ASL.

A follow up to College for Kid's ASL 1 camp, this 4 day camp will expand on what was learned in week 1 including additional vocabulary and key phrases associated with everyday routines. Spielberg, Coppola, Scorsese. All great film directors, but how did they get started? Do your kids love to make their own movies at home? In this one week intro to filmmaking camp, your child will learn about the process of making a film from start to finish including story and script development, scene and shot set-up, and the editing process to a final film. On the final day, participants will be able to present their films in a festival like setting at Tulsa's historic Circle Cinema.

In this summer camp adventure in Spanish, "travel" to Spain, Puerto Rico, Peru, Venezuela, & Mexico all in a single week!  In this unique summer camp, your child will learn everyday Spanish words and phrases that they will be able to apply immediately. Topics will include casual conversation, feelings, travel and asking for directions, around the house, and being in a restaurant. They will also learn about the cultures of Spanish speaking countries and how they are similar and different from their own and each other.

Introduction to Deep Learning & Neural Networks with Keras

LENGTH OF ACCESS: Two Months

Course 3 of 6.  You will learn about the different deep learning models and build your first deep learning model using the Keras library. After completing this course, learners will be able to: describe what a neural network is, what a deep learning model is, and the difference between them; demonstrate an understanding of unsupervised deep learning models; demonstrate an understanding of supervised deep learning models such as convolutional neural networks and recurrent networks; build deep learning models and networks using the Keras library.

A course for the development of lab research and projects in engineering technologies. Students will utilize basic hand tools in the design and fabrication of projects. With training, students may also work with mills, lathes, welding, PCB circuit design, soldering, and/or 3D plotting in project development. Basics of metal working machine tools and standard shop practices, with a special emphasis on shop safety, will be covered along with exploration into the fundamentals of turning, milling, broaching and sawing, and the abilities of conventional machine tools.  Includes lab component.

Students will discuss how to become aware of their own personal values, morals, and prejudices as well as how each of these can influence the interpreting situation.  Students will learn to apply the basic tenets of  ethical guidelines for the field of American Sign Language/English interpreting.  PREREQUISITE:  INED 1423 or instructor's permission.

 

Introduction to TensorFlow

Course 4 of 9. This course is focused on using the flexibility and “ease of use” of TensorFlow 2. x and Keras to build, train, and deploy machine learning models.  You will learn about the TensorFlow 2. x API hierarchy and will get to know the main components of TensorFlow through hands-on exercises. You will learn how to design and build a TensorFlow 2. x input data pipeline.  You will get hands-on practice loading CSV data, NumPy arrays, text data, and images using tf.Data.Dataset. You will learn how to train, deploy, and productionalize machine learning models at scale with the Cloud AI Platform.
