The Senior Scholar program is funded by the Union County Board of County Commissioners. These complimentary courses are available to Union County residents who are 60+ years old. Certified Bookkeeper (AEBU-005)

The American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) has established a professional certification, the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) credential, a high professional standard for bookkeepers. By successfully passing tests in six subjects, signing a written code of ethics, and demonstrating two years’ work experience as a bookkeeper, you can earn the right to put “CB” after your name.  This course focuses on preparing you for the National Certified Bookkeeper examination by helping you master the skills and knowledge required for certification. Chair/Barre For Seniors 60+

This class is based on principles of Stretch and Pilates, seated with a chair or on the floor as well as standing with the barre or chair. Students will learn different stretches and movements using therabands, beginning with the shoulders down to the feet. Students will move to the floor to strengthen their core, back and feet. Students will also work on balance and stability. There will be constant feedback during class and a five-minute question and answer period at the end of each session.
