In this course, learners explore CNC machining concepts. They  examine setup and operation of CNC milling machines, and they  practice applying basic G code principles. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to program, setup, and operate a CNC mill.

HAAS TRAINING

They  examine the operation of CNC lathes and turning centers including  calling up programs, loading and unloading parts, inspecting parts, and monitoring tool wear. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to program, setup, and operate a CNC lathe.

They evaluate different methods of setting mills up to produce parts using industry benchmarks, while investigating the fundamentals of G and M code programming. Students explore key aspects of  machine operation and work flow process. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to load programs, fixture production parts, and touch off tools.  Need a minimum of 4 students.

Corequisite: You must be registered in both the CNC Milling I (444-456) and CNC Milling II (444-458) courses to participate.
