Class Drop Policy: Drops for workshops must be completed before the first day of class. A student who registers for a workshop and fails to attend will not be refunded. If you would like to withdraw from a workshop please sign into your student portal on training.gtc.edu, submit a request, and “Withdrawal from program.” All Withdrawals will be reviewed for processing and refunds may take between 5-15 business days

Lean Manufacturing Principles (623-812E)

This 12-week course is designed to introduce participants to the essentials of Lean Operations. Lean training is one of the most valuable skills in business today. Businesses of all types are utilizing lean principles as the primary continuous improvement methodology. Lean changes businesses through techniques that create proven results that translate directly to the bottom-line. Blending on-line instruction with online modules, and a work project with 3 hours of individual coaching within three month's after course completion.

This 12-week course is designed to certify participants with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt credentials. Lean Six Sigma is the standard for world-class quality based on continuous improvement through identifying and eliminating waste. Blending on-line instruction with online modules and a work project with 6 hours of individual coaching within three months of course completion. The first half of this course (623-497) is comprised of Lean enterprise and Six Sigma organizational structure, and the elements of define and measure in the DMAIC process. The second half of the course (623-498) will cover the Analyze, Improve, and Control elements of the DMAIC Process with report outs of individual workplace improvement projects.
