**Class Drop Policy: Drops for workshops must be completed before the first day of class. A student who registers for a workshop and fails to attend will not be refunded. If you would like to withdraw from a workshop please sign into your student portal, submit a request, and “Withdrawal from program.” All Withdrawals will be reviewed for processing and refunds may take between 5-15 business days  

Advanced STEM/STEAM focuses on developing and building hands-on projects using Fab Lab skills and a variety of advanced manufacturing equipment. This workshop meets approximately twice a month over a six-month period. While occasional scheduling conflicts may arise, they will be addressed as needed.

Projects will culminate around the County Fair, allowing participants the opportunity to enter their work.

The workshop will be conducted by John Zehren in Room 117A at the iMET Center. Participants are encouraged to bring a flash drive; no additional materials are required. Parents are welcome to attend with their children.

Open to students in 6th grade and up

This course is designed for civilians who wish to meet the training requirements to obtain a concealed carry license.  This course meets the training requirement specified in Wisconsin Statute 175.60(4).

Gentle Hair Care Practices for Children      

In this course, participants explore the basics of natural hair care for children. They practice gentle detangling techniques. Participants apply simple wash day routines that nurture healthy hair and promote comfort. They identify signs of scalp sensitivity and use gentle methods that reduce discomfort. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to apply foundational hair care skills to support healthy, joyful hair experiences for children.

Participants will apply powerful problem solving tools and basic statistical techniques necessary for the Black Belt to lead strategic implementation of lean six sigma practices in the organization, as well as train and mentor black belts and green belts. In this course, participants refine advanced razor techniques for both haircutting and shaving. They
practice precision cutting and shaving techniques on manniquin heads, applying advanced skills to
diverse hair types and styles. Participants troubleshoot and adjust techniques based on client
needs, enhancing their adaptability in real-world settings. They explore safety and efficiency
strategies for razor use in various professional scenarios. Upon completion of the course,
participants will be able to confidently execute advanced razor services with accuracy and
creativity. Manniquin heads will be provided to take home and please bring your own feather razor!!!

In this course, participants enhance their communication skills to lead impactful virtual and
in-person consultations. They practice crafting clear, concise messaging tailored to client needs.
Participants build rapport, engage clients effectively, and address concerns to enhance
satisfaction. They explore strategies to increase client loyalty and boost revenue. Upon completion

Natural Hair Heat Styling Techniques
In this course, participants refine heat styling techniques for natural hair with a focus on achieving a lasting, healthy silk press. They apply refined preparation and blow-drying methods to reduce heat exposure. Participants evaluate heat protectants and thermal tools for various hair types. They examine silk press techniques that preserve hair health and reduce damage. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to perform an effective silk press while preserving the hair’s integrity and minimizing long-term damage.
