**Class Drop Policy: Drops for workshops must be completed before the first day of class. A student who registers for a workshop and fails to attend will not be refunded. If you would like to withdraw from a workshop please sign into your student portal on training.gtc.edu, submit a request, and “Withdrawal from program.” All Withdrawals will be reviewed for processing and refunds may take between 5-15 business days  

Courses

Full Guitar Bulding (GUITAR BUILDING)

This 13-week workshop guides participants through the complete process of building a custom electric guitar — from raw wood to a finished, playable instrument. The course integrates traditional woodworking with modern digital manufacturing, including CNC routing, laser engraving, and 3D printing. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized NC3 certifications in Precision Measurement, 3D Printing, and Laser Engraving.

7th grade and up.

Kit Guitar Bulding (GUITAR BUILDING)

KIT Guitar build involves using a purchased guitar kit, which has everything you need to make an electric guitar. This workshop runs September 22nd, through December 9th. You build a guitar from a pre-purchased kit. Each week there will be two and a half hour sessions, and corresponding Open Lab time for follow up. Sessions will cover the different steps involved with customizing and assembling an electric guitar. The Workshop will provide demonstrations to give you an opportunity to experience working on the different parts, like neck, fretboard, wiring and body. The workshop will showcase how you can employ digital manufacturing like 3D printing, laser, and CNC to customize or build your own parts.

10 session Workshop for customizing and building an electric guitar from a kit. 8th grade and up.
