50-Hour Pre-Service to Teaching (ALTR-100)

In-Person Section Required by the NJDOE, the primary goal of this course is to provide the prospective teacher with an overview of the teaching profession. Minimum CGPA: 3.0. This non-credit course requires 30 hours of class work, 20 hours of clinical field work, including at least 10 hours of planning and delivering instruction via individual or co-teaching model in a public or private school. Upon successful completion , candidates receive a Verification of Program Completion form that is used by a school district to apply for a candidate's Provisional License.

Certified Personal Trainer (CEHS-193)

Topics will cover 15 hours of anatomy, exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, nutrition and more.  The in-person practical skill labs allow you to role-play and review essential “hands on skills” to master assessing clients, stretching, warm-ups/cool-downs, exercise analysis and programming design.  At the end of the course all graduates get a local employer list [Crunch Fitness & more are hiring!] that we work with each year. We include a student workbook and access to online study tools to help you take the Certified Personal Trainer exams.

Dental Assisting (CEHS-126)

Our dental assisting foundation course is designed for students with little to no knowledge of the field. Topics include anatomy, equipment, four-handed assisting techniques, hands-on presentation of dental procedures, infection control, instruments, materials, and terminology.

Included with the course is job shadowing experience and a career development workshop. Your successful completion of our Dental Assistant Course qualifies you as a Dental Assistant. Our program serves as a prerequisite for a Dental Radiology program. This course is eligible for OCC Foundation scholarships.
