Photography is booming. Everyone is taking pictures and posting them to social media accounts. Kids love taking pictures too, but do they really understand what they are capturing? Encourage your child's love of photography with this 1 week camp. Your kids will learn about the science and math of photography so they can manually meter their camera camera for a proper exposure, change WB, ISO, depth-of-field, and shutter speeds for any situation. They will increase their ability to go beyond “pictures” and move into artwork and design. NEEDED MATERIALS Students will need to bring DSLR or mirrorless digital camera, charged batteries and memory card. Students will also need to bring a notebook and pen for taking notes.

In this introduction to engineering camp, your child will learn skills and concepts that will allow them to calculate, measure, and build electronic circuits, an electric car, and a small robot. They will learn the scientific concepts behind Ohm's Law, lab safety and when working with circuits, basic robotics, UAVs, DC motor controls and electronic sensors. At the end of the camp, you child will be able to bring their circuits, robots, and electric vehicles home with them.
