A preparation course for the CDA Credential. Focus on the management of resources, organization strategies, communication, planning, record keeping, and working cooperatively with others. Making professional and ethical decisions based on knowledge of child development theories, practices, and quality child care services is emphasized. The importance of participation in activities that promote competence, personal growth, and professional development is stressed. The course addresses CDA Competencies #5 and #6. Assigned field experiences. Prerequisites: Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry background check and CHLD 1101 or concurrent enrollment.
