Photography is booming. Everyone is taking pictures and posting them to social media accounts. Kids love taking pictures too, but do they really understand what they are capturing? Encourage your child's love of photography with this 1 week camp. Your child will learn about the science and math of photography so they can manually meter their camera camera for a proper exposure, change WB, ISO, depth-of-field, and shutter speeds for each situation they are photographing. This results in increasing their ability to go beyond “pictures” and transition into artwork and design. NEEDED MATERIALS: DSLR or mirrorless digital camera and lens, charged batteries and memory card.

Did you know that TCC has Aviation programs offering associate’s degrees in Piloting and Air Traffic Control?  TCC Continuing Education also offers members of the community the opportunity to participate in these programs to obtain different categories of FAA flight and drone certifications. This exciting new youth camp will introduce participants to the Aviation programs at TCC. Here is what your student will get during this week-long experience:

• An introduction to Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations
• Work in TCC's flight simulator
• An introduction to all parts of the flight process from planning and safety to take-off
• A discovery flight in one of TCC's Cessna 172 aircraft with one of our Certified Flight Instructors

Just like today's top artists, you can design your own beats or remix a mashup of your favorite songs to become a digital composer and sound engineer.  In this course, students will learn to produce digital music, record sound, make sound effects, and mix their own tracks. No prior music experience is necessary. Student-created soundtracks will be available on a password protected website to share with friends and family. Pair it with the YouTube Content Creators Course to become a true social media influencer!

Biology Explorers is an introductory course that helps students learn about living things and how they work. Students will explore topics like plants, animals, ecosystems, cells, and the human body through simple activities and discussions. The class encourages asking questions, making observations, and building a basic understanding of biology in a fun and engaging way.

Challenge your child with TCC College for Kids STEM Bundle. Your child will explore different topics in biology in week 1 and then explore different STEM areas with a series of hands-on activities with STEM Adventures in week 2.
