Earners of the Basics of Additive Manufacturing micro-credential will understand the core additive manufacturing concepts and practices including: additive manufacturing processes, safety, materials, software, and supply chain, plus methods like Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), material jetting, and binder jetting. They will have basic computer-aided design (CAD) skills required to create a simple 3D-printed part. They will also print a part on a 3D printer by incorporating the additive manufacturing workflow, which is comprised of modeling, STL file generation, slicing, printing, and post-processing. The Basics of Additive Manufacturing micro-credential will be awarded if the learner successfully completes all 12 online Tooling U-SME courses with an exit test score of at least 75% and completes Tulsa Community College’s ENGT 1213 Introduction to Fabrication Lab course with a grade of “C” or better.

Fundamentals (CAM-F) Prep - The Certified Additive Manufacturing - Fundamentals (CAM-F) is a nationally recognized industry certification offered through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). This certification focuses on the basics of additive manufacturing, including a comprehensive overview of manufacturing, the seven additive manufacturing technologies, and basic safety guidelines. Successful completion demonstrates that the individual has basic knowledge of additive manufacturing and may be an ideal candidate for entry-level additive manufacturing roles in automotive, aerospace, and medical equipment. The course also prepares learners for SME's CAM-F certification exam. The Certified Additive Manufacturing Fundamentals (CAM-F) Prep micro-credential will be awarded if the learner successfully completes all 20 online Tooling U-SME courses with an exit test score of at least 75%. A certification exam through SME is optional.
The Certified Manufacturing Associate is a nationally recognized industry certification offered through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) This certification focuses on basic manufacturing concepts, demonstrating an individual’s potential for high-demand, entry-level manufacturing roles. The program covers fundamental topics such as shop math, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, and successful completion demonstrates that the individual has basic knowledge of manufacturing and may be an ideal candidate for entry-level manufacturing employment. The Robotics in Manufacturing Fundamentals (RMF) is a nationally recognized industry certification offered through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). This certification focuses on the fundamentals of manufacturing robotics and provides a starting point for career pathways in the field of robotics. Earners gain knowledge of robotic systems, safety, sensors, programming, end effectors, vision systems, automation, and production design, building a strong foundation for robotics in modern manufacturing. The program also prepares learners for SME's Robotics in Manufacturing Fundamentals certification exam. The Robotics in Manufacturing Fundamentals (RMF) Prep micro-credential will be awarded if the learner successfully completes all 22 online Tooling U-SME courses with an exit test score of at least 75%. A certification exam through SME is optional.
This micro-credential validates foundational soldering skills for entry-level careers in manufacturing and electronics. Earners gain expertise in soldering safety, standards, equipment, material selection, PCB soldering, and blueprint reading, and will be able to demonstrate soldering in practice through labs. The Soldering Essentials micro-credential will be awarded if the learner successfully completes all 7 online Tooling U-SME courses with an exit test score of at least 75% and completes Tulsa Community College’s ENGT 1213 Introduction to Fabrication Lab course with a grade of “C” or better.
