This is an intermediate course based on readings from traditional and contemporary Spanish culture, with the objective of developing additional active vocabulary, increasing oral fluency, and obtaining basic concepts about the Hispanic culture. May be taken concurrently with SPAN 2143 and/or SPAN 2523.
Active participation in conversations during class and/or through the World Languages Lab is expected.
Prerequisite SPAN 2113 with a grade of “C” or better, or instructor approval. Students with prior Spanish experience are encouraged to ask their advisor about the CLEP or departmental placement exam to determine eligibility for credit and placement into a higher-level course.
