Prerequisite: Photography Level 1 and a good working knowledge of camera settings. Students should also have a basic understanding of Photoshop and its use in editing images.


Explore the intriguing world of black and white photography, where light, shadow, and detail take center stage. Students will learn to manipulate lighting and angles to highlight the nuances of their subjects and create striking monochrome images. The course also covers post-processing techniques, including Photoshop methods, to produce the best black and white results.

This is an in-classroom course with photographic assignments to be completed outside of class in preparation for the second session.
