A theory/applications course on operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software, cybersecurity and Information Systems. Emphasis is placed upon decision making with spreadsheets and databases.

Key concepts, vocabulary tools, principles, and techniques relating to the creation of raster graphic outcomes. Prepare, edit, manipulate, and create bitmap images through a series of hands-on exercises. Topics involve setting project requirements, identifying and applying design principles, navigating Photoshop's interface, creating bit-map content, working non-destructively, and exporting content for use in print, motion, and interactive mediums. Preparation for the Adobe PS Certified Associate exam. 

Students will need to get their own subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Prepare, edit, manipulate, and create vector images through a series of hands-on exercises. Topics involve setting project requirements, identifying and applying design principles, navigating Illustrator's interface, creating vector content, and exporting content for use in print, motion, and interactive mediums. 

Prerequisite: Digital Foundations 1: Photoshop or Instructor Approval. Contact Continuing Education for more information on obtaining instructor approval. 

Key concepts, vocabulary, tools, principles, and techniques relating to the layout of print and screen­related touch-points. Prepare, edit, and create layouts using Adobe lnDesign. Asset creation involves Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat. Topics involve defining project requirements, identifying and applying design principles, working with layouts, grids and typestyles. Navigating lnDesign interface, creating documents, pre-flighting, packaging, and exporting content. Preparation for Adobe lnDesign Certified Associate (ACA) exam. Prerequistes: DGMD 1113 and DGMD 1203

This introductory course is designed for adult learners with little to no prior experience in Spanish. Students will develop basic communication skills through speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Topics include greetings, numbers, everyday vocabulary, simple grammar, and common expressions used in travel and daily conversation. Emphasis is placed on practical usage and cultural awareness to build a strong foundation for further study.

An intermediate course in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish. Taught in Spanish. Prerequisite: SPAN 1413 with a grade of "C" or better or instructor approval.

This course is an intensive exam preparation for SHRM® certification*. Topics include the eight behavioral competencies: Leadership and Navigation; Ethical Practice; Business Acumen; Relationship Management Consultation; Critical Evaluation; Global and Cultural Effectiveness; and Communications. In addition, a comprehensive review of the HR technical competencies of People, Organization, and Workplace will be included. Students will engage in in-depth case studies and integrate previous HR learning, simulating real-world HR challenges and opportunities. *Course completion does not substitute for or waive exam eligibility requirements as required by SHRM®. Registration includes access to the SHRM Learning Resources (includes both printed and online resources). Course will be delivered with some online course content as well as a face-to-face meeting component 1 night per week (typically the instructor allows students to join via and online video platform if it is more convenient).

*About 2 weeks prior to the start of class, students will be directed to pick up their SHRM Learning System materials through Continuing Education and once the physical learning system is picked up, they will be sent an invite from SHRM to activate the online learning system portion.
