Explore the world of artificial intelligence to design fully interactive games and experiences using cutting-edge technology. This program combines artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. Students will construct machine learning models that use image and text recognition within block-based coding software to build a portfolio of projects. Student projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family.

The study of literature of ASL stories in the Deaf community and relationship to other world literatures and developing stories. Students will learn the comprehension of different forms of ASL literature and the effects of genre, style, perspective, and other artistic techniques on ASL narratives, humor, poetry, folklore, and the techniques in stories. Develop and narrate within features and techniques in different formats of ASL literature. Prerequisite: ASLE 1373 and ASLE 1413

Overview of the key concepts, techniques, and tools within Adobe Audition, a powerful audio editing and mixing tool. Emphasis on Audition basics, work-area, repairing and adjusting audio clips, editing and enhancing voice-over recordings, sampling, creating background music and loops, exploring effects, working with markers, importing, exporting, and round-trip editing. Students are encouraged to obtain Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) certification.

Students will need to get their own subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud

Want to take your photography to a new level and turn them into works of art? Stop using in-camera processed JPGs. When you use RAW files and process them in Adobe Lightroom you are opening a world of new possibilities for your photos. You will learn the many different tools available in Lightroom such as lightening, darkening, softening, filters, converting images to black and white, and many more. Students must have a digital DSLR (or mirrorless) camera with full manual capability to all classes.

Overview of key concepts, techniques, and tools. Emphasis on basics such as importing and editing, working with audio, creating transitions, and producing titles. Additional topics will involve multi-camera editing, DVD with menu compilation, time-remapping techniques, effects, and compressing video for handheld devices such as mobile phones, iPods, PSPs, and smartphones. Basic script and storyboard techniques will be discussed for the creative development of all projects. Students are encouraged to obtain Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) certification.

This course is intended for students who have studied Spanish structure through the intermediate level and have gained a basic oral fluency and proficiency. Class activities will focus on acquiring sufficient speaking skills to interact with native speakers and the use of Spanish as the main language of communication without the aid of an interpreter. Conducted in Spanish. Prerequisite: SPAN 2213 with a grade of "C" or better or 18 hours of Spanish.

As part of the program students will build and secure a LINUX virtual machine using virtualization technology. They will also create complex networks using Cisco Packet Tracer, implementing routing, NAT, port forwarding, DHCP, DNS, and packet sniffers, as well as troubleshooting and resolving complex network problems.

Students will design a relational database to contain customer data and security incidents and create queries to analyze date. They will also create and format a multiple page web site that includes graphics, video and audio, and a consistent theme with image maps, columns, tables, and animation.  The web site will include forms for collecting user data and authenticating users.

Then, after creating 4 Python applications from scratch: an age calculator, a word guessing game, a lemonade stand game, and a text-based adventure game, students will create the code to connect a web site to the database to authenticate users and provide user-specific content to users after login.
